High Density D-Sub Connectors

The high density D Sub range is part of SignalOrigin’s I/O connections portfolio that provides customers access to a wide range of industry standard and application specific I/O interconnect solutions. SignalOrigin’s I/O connector solutions complete board and system designs by providing high density, high-speed interfaces to enable interconnect technologies for networking, storage and memory, and complementary products for power distribution. The range of standardized I/O solutions enables full compliance to industry standards such as Ethernet, SFF, infiniband, USB, PCMCIA or HDMI.

There are the same dimensions of a high density d-sub connectors as a standard density connector, but there are more contacts on the high density insulator.

For a standard density 9 position connector the high density holds 15 positions, for a 15 position standard density connector, the high density holds 26 positions, and so on, see Tech Specs for more details. The high density connector have a drawback in comparison and that is the current rating which is only 3A as the standard density have 5A.
